Activ Carbon

Featured:
A range of activated carbon products are used to reduce the levels of chlorine and chlorine compounds and of organic compounds found in water for home and industrial use.
In aquariums they are primarily used to neutralise medications and organic compounds.
Activated carbon is derived from carbonaceous material from carefully selected plant matter and treated with a temperature-controlled activation process to produce the high internal surface area and optimal porous structure for the absorption of chlorine and low molecular weight organic compounds.
High density activated carbon is highly resistant to abrasion and mechanical stresses.
Activated carbon requires periodic rinsing to eliminate suspended substances that accumulate in it and to refresh the efficiency of the filtering medium.
The carbon must always be thoroughly rinsed before use.
